The following covers legalities associated with Project TI-Trek, henceforth referred to as "the Project", including liabilities assumed by the Project, licensing, terms of service (for hosted services), and privacy policy.

The project is a massively-multiplayer online game (MMO) intended for use on a TI-84+ CE graphing calculator. It is a networked service that depends on a number of other utilities: the CE toolchain standard libraries, the CryptX CE cryptography library, and [eventually] the lwIP library. Where relevant the licensing of this project does not supercede those of dependencies.

Please ensure you read and understand this notice of liability before using the software associated with the Project. By using this software you implicitly acknowledge and agree to this notice of liability.

Risk associated with the use of this software is minimal but present. Defects in coding may lead to such things as: functional issues, corruption or loss of information on the device due to RAM clears/NMI resets, and in rare cases the rendering of the device unusable (an event termed "bricking"). The risk of these event increases greatly with the use of beta or experimental releases.

The developers of this project assume no liability for the risk associated with the use of this program. Please verify the development status of this project and ensure that you are using a stable release (release stage in which a program has been tested and debugged). If you are opting to test an experimental release, know that you do so at your own risk.

This project is generally licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License Agreement (). The gist of this is that:

• You may make use of the code from this project in your own projects for either personal or commercial use.
• You must license any derived code in your own projects with the same or similar license.
• You may not pursue claims of liability against us for your use of our code in your projects.
